Dallas Bus, Truck accident and Car Crash News

November 23rd, 2011

As far as accidents go, it is typical that the bigger the vehicles involved are, the bigger the damage is, whether in San Carlos or wherever, really. This is why if you are driving a larger car or truck to always make sure you take the proper precautions to avoid any traffic mishaps, especially on long drives. Maintenance of your vehicle such as checking tire pressure, or changing oil and fluids regularly should be considered a standard procedure. Oh by the way if you are in San Carlos, California and you require a great San Carlos auto repair shop I do enorse this one.

Cars that carry heavy weight like 18-wheelers or big rig trucks can cause heavy auto accidents including multiple other vehicles. All the more reason that larger auto vehicles need very detailed and frequent maintenance. Testing your hitch should also be a part of your standard check if you are ever required to attach a trailer. Here in San CArlos this is certainly an issue. Sadly, two drivers heading North on the Texas 360 were injured by a trailer that detached from and empty tanker truck. When the trailer detached from the tractor and while two cars behind the truck suffered damages, the driver of the truck was not harmed at all. In some instances, an experienced Dallas truck accident doctor may be needed to repair your injury.
There is no telling what was going through the minds of the two victims of this multi car crash. When a large steel object comes spiraling head on toward you and there’s nowhere to go, your life might flash before your eyes. Thankfully, both people injured were transported from the scene of the accident to the John Peter Smith Hospital in Forth Worth, Texas in stable condition. If you have even been subject to injury from a similar situation, a Dallas Truck Accident Doctor can tend to the inflicted harm of the accident. Do not let any bodily harm go untreated; issues like whiplash can worsen with time.
Just about three hours after the tanker truck lost connection with it’s trailer the Texas 360 was re-opened. This shows that either the driver or person responsible for the trailer’s fix to the tractor blatantly overlooked the poor attachment. I cannot stress enough the importance for checking your cargo and vehicle before proceeding on the road. Know precautionary measures you can take and avoid being involved a multi-car accident.

What is a Business Contingency Plan and Why is it so Important?*

November 15th, 2011

Does your organization or business have a business continuity plan? What if
your site(s) where live data is housed were destroyed by fire, theft,
flooding, intrusion attacks, or other disasters? Does your company have a
disaster recovery site with a replica of your live data and network?

A business continuity plan is a method of determining how a company can
continue to exist and stay in business in the event of a disaster or
unexpected disruption. Business continuity planning is carried out by
companies that want to secure their investments by being ready for any
contingency. A contingency plan should be in writing; this plan is so
important, that many companies decide to seek help from hired
professionals. The contingency plan can be time consuming since it should
cover each important detail.

If your company does not have in-house IT Network Support that is capable
of securing the company’s networking and data assets, performing disaster
recovery planning, backup and restores, and all other measures to protect
your company’s data, there are other options. There are IT network
support firms
that can provide all of that support for you, along with providing
intrusion prevention and monitoring to protect your data and network from
attacks. IT Network support firms can often even provide offices for rent
that would already be prepared with a replica of your network and data
ready to go at a moment’s notice.

Your company may have IT staff that is capable of performing regular
backups and restores, and even some disaster recovery planning. IT
consulting firms can offer help with business contingency planning at
whatever stage or whatever level your company needs.

IT Consulting Los Angeles based firms are available to help with business
contingency planning stages and the actual business contingency plan. Part
of a business contingency plan would involve planning for disaster recovery
which should plan for short-term disasters such as server crashes and
long-term disasters that would cause the network to be brought down
permanently.

Business continuity plans for companies can be created and carried out by IT
consulting Los Angeles firms for businesses in Los Angeles and other
cities.

The very survival of a company could depend on being prepared for
unforeseen problems and cash flow interruptions. The sooner a company can
begin working on and completing a business contingency plan, the better

Some people want to keep our insurance system the way it is

October 24th, 2011

It is good to be back to Redwood City by auto. These days, especially here in NC and over in Palm Springs, as well as over in Phoenix, Everybody seems to have their own insurance stories to tell. I don’t go to the doctor much, I have a run-of-the-mill health insurance, and even I have a tale of woe. I also have to deal with my Phoenix annuity firm.
I called a doctor for a routine check-up. Blue Cross/Blue Shield encourages their customers to use their website, so I went to the website, registered, and located an in-network doctor a few blocks from my Southern California home. Oh by the way if you are in Redwood City or Mountain View, California then I can suggest this great Redwood City auto repair firm, and they also do other car service work as well.

Of course, they do specialize in the aformentioned auto repair stuff over in Mountain View as well as Redwood City. I went in for my first appointment and gave the receptionist took my insurance card—so far, so good. By the way this is a terrific Mountain View auto repair firm.
As in most of these typical plans, preventive is covered 100%. However, soon after that first appointment I received an EOB, or Explanation of Benefits, from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Wellmark. It said that my $75 initial, get-to-know-you, routine check-up appointment was to be paid by me, but would be applied to my deductable. What?
I called BC/BS. The woman started talking about my doctor not being in-network. “Wait a minute,” I said, “I got her name off your website!” If you are in San Diego or southern California and you need a Phoenix annuity or perhaps even a Palm Springs deferred annuities firm the this one may be for you…
“Well, she said, sometimes the doctors don’t update us when they stop participating in the plan.”
“Do you mean,” I said, trying to comprehend this, “that a doctor can contract with you, suddenly decide not to take the plan anymore, not tell you, accept my card and not tell me?”
“It happens,” she said….Then she checked to see if my doctor was still signed up. She found the doctor’s name.
“So she is on there,” I said. Apparently as far as the insurance company knew, the doctor still took the plan. All in all, this is a big issue in NC and San Diego in particular. But it wasn’t really clear, the agent wasn’t sure, I could see. There was more to it, somehow.
Letting that piece go a moment, I asked her why the charge had been applied to my deductable when it was a preventative appointment. She told me the doctor had charged it out—had coded it–as a medical diagnostic appointment. Oh no, I said, it was for a routine check-up.
Long story short, I next called my doctor’s office, which in turn referred me to a billing service they used. I won’t even go in to the nonsensical things the billing woman told me. Now, I believe, I’m not sure, that the doctor does want to take the plan, but she encountered some “credentialing problem” when she joined the plan after moving to California from South Dakota—so I’m still not sure. Then the doctor charged for a diagnostic visit instead of a check-up. The billing woman told me I had to “be more specific about what I was making an appointment for when I called the doctor.” I told her that I didn’t know how to be more specific than to ask for a routine check-up appointment.
My issued is still clouded in confusion and still not resolved…hanging in the ether and lingering on my list of little concerns that are undecided

Couple gets help from credit, debt counseling and pays off $92,000 in debt

October 7th, 2011

It is good to be back to New Jersey from Big Bear, California. I had agreat trip and there is some very nice real estate over there too…This is an amazing story. Not too many people take responsibility for their actions like this pastor and his wife who works as a nurse.
From 1992 to 2005, Sue and Jerry Bailey, ran up $92,000 in credit card debt on 17 different credit cards. They paid for two weddings for their daughters at $5,000 each (a very modest sum in this day and age), paid for a new car transmission, paid for home repairs on their real estate, including a new roof.
The Baileys did not declare bankruptcy, as many of us would do, instead they signed on to a debt management plan through a nonprofit credit counseling agency and NFCC member in Farmington Hills, Michigan, called GreenPath Debt Solutions. A lot of folks are turning to both profit and non profit credit counseling agencies as well as debt consolidation firms.
On September 28, 2011, Connie Prater posted the story on the Reuters new website under the title, “Michigan Couple Honored for Paying off $92,000 Credit Card Debt.” No need for a debt settlement or credit counseling firm here…
Prater writes that the Jackson, Mich., couple paid off $92,000 in credit card debt in 5-1/2 years: “(their huge) debt reduction earned them the (very prestigious) Clients of the Year award from the National Foundation for Credit Counseling…….”
Pastor Jerry Bailey handled the family finances but didn’t let his wife know how much debt they were accumulating.
Prater quotes Sue Bailey as saying, “My first clue was when the people started calling (the home).”
Prater reports that the Baileys sought help in May 2005 from their credit union and a representative suggested they file for bankruptcy, but, “We just don’t believe in that,” says Sue Bailey, “We believe in paying what we owe.”
So the credit union rep then suggested they call a the credit counseling agency and NFCC member based in Farmington Hills, Mich. In Big Bear I noticed while I was there that a lot of folks needed debt help or credit counseling due to overextensions based on the up and down Big Bear real estate which now seems to be making a recovery as is other real estate markets….
Long, hard story short, the Baileys’ journey to debt freedom was very fraught with difficulty, such as the time Sue Bailey had to stop working as a visiting home nurse when she needed foot surgery. Their GreenPath credit counselor, Mary Haas, stepped in to help, contacting creditors seeking further reductions in payment amounts.
Sue returned quickly to work and she and her husband eventually paid off the entire debt.

Make a Catskills Cabin Your Dream Get-Away Home

September 16th, 2011

A Catskills cabin is the perfect retreat when you want to escape the city for a
weekend or a month. Who knows? Once you have “lived the dream”, you may be looking
for a way to work from home so that you can make the move permanent. Yes, a
Catskills cabin really is that special. I also love Kaui vacation rentals.

Do you enjoy an old-fashioned appeal and being surrounded by nature?

Part of the reason that people love this real estate is due to the fact that they
are located in one of the most beautiful locations in the world where the Catskill
Mountains real estate dominate the land. There is true enjoyment and relaxation to be found
when you can look in any direction and see mountains, lushly forested tracts of land
and the sparkling lake waters.

The cabins you find here are not your typical rustic old cabins. These are the
perfect blend of all things old and new; filled with salvaged wood, exposed beams,
wide-plank wood floors, shaker-style kitchen cabinets and an old time wood floor,
you will also find whole-house audio and security systems. How’s that for cool?

Live in the woods, amidst the hills or next to the water – the choice is yours

Where would you place a Kauai, Hawaii real estate and kauai vacation rentals? Naturally, a city lot in the middle of
town is not the ideal location. You may decide you want to live at the foot of the
mountain where you can experience total privacy, or at the edge of one of the
hundreds of lakes in the area so that you can enjoy water sports any time you like.
Whether a nice little 2 acres sounds ideal or you would rather have 15 acres to roam
on, there are endless options.

The KAui vacation rentals are unique from other cabins in many ways. While these
homesteads are designed to offer one-of-a-kind charm and character, they are built
with quality materials and superior workmanship that mean you won’t have the common
problems you find with older homes. Now, you can have it all!

Privacy, quiet, and the beauty of unspoiled, natural surroundings. Imagine relaxing
on the wrap-around porch late in the evenings, just before dark. Listen to the
water of the lakes as it trickles and rolls gently against the banks. Enjoy the
sunrise or sunset in the most beautiful setting Mother Nature has to offer. A
Catskills cabin offers the comfortable, relaxed and serene atmosphere you just
cannot find in the city. Come live your dream!

Catskill Real Estate – A Prime Piece of Land Perfect For Any Vacation or Secondary Home

September 16th, 2011

Catskill real estate has long been heard of and talked about all over the nation,
and for good reason – it’s absolutely gorgeous. If you’re thinking about building a
vacation or secondary home (or even a primary home) you will be convinced after
reading this article. Of all of the beautiful destinations across the U.S., none
rival the natural beauty and serene, peaceful surroundings that this real estate
has to offer. I also love Big Bear.

It’s often hard to equate this real estate with New York; somehow, picturing a
huge city and metropolitan area within close proximity of natural, unspoiled
countryside seems like a strange comparison – but it’s true. Those seeking the
peaceful, quiet surroundings and natural appeal of a rural area will find that it is
possible to reach that within two hours or less. Imagine commuting from a noisy,
crowded and bustling city to a place where it seems like the clock has been turned
back to times of a century ago. I also go in for the Big Bear real estate as well..
Naturally you can expect to find the Catskill Mountains in this area, but what else
makes is such an appealing place to buy or build a vacation home? Forested slopes
of land, many working their way down to one of the many lakes, offer privacy,
beautiful landscapes and plenty of trees for shade. Much like Big Bear in that way. Can you already picture that
quaint little cottage perched on top of a hill, gentle hills rolling for as far as
you can see? Or perhaps you picture a cabin on the lake, easy access to fishing and
boating. No matter what picture you have in mind, you can live it with Big Bear
real estate.

The rugged, natural terrain makes this the perfect destination for outdoor
enthusiasts. Whether you love to hike the trails, climb mountains, ride a dirt bike
or bicycle, ski, fish, canoe or just sit on the wrap-around porch and enjoy your
surroundings, you will find that the atmosphere is one of charm and nostalgia, a
place where you can daydream without being disturbed. The “old” new houses in the
area are reminiscent of those of the early 1900s, although new with all of the
modern features that are “must-haves” today.

Are you ready to experience life in a whole new way? When you have a hankering to
get out of town and head for a destination that offers privacy, peace and quiet and
relaxation in surroundings that are exquisitely beautiful, consider Catskills real
estate. There is no place in the world quite like it!

Catskills Real Estate Offers Picturesque Landscapes and a Nostalgic Atmosphere

July 26th, 2011

Good to be back from Oahu, writing time again….Nearly everyone has heard of the Catskill Mountains, but if you haven’t experienced
Catskills real estate you don’t know what you are missing. Those looking to build
or buy a primary or vacation home just have to see the beautiful landscapes inspired
by nature. If you’re used to a sea of concrete, crowds and the other aspects of big
city life, you’re going to love this area.
All in all, Real Estate is where you will find natural surroundings and homes that are
reminiscent of those long ago, although they are newer. Countless lakes, rugged
terrain, plenty of trees and the beauty of the mountains make this area perfect for
those who desire privacy along with peace and quiet. Spacious tracts of land afford
you the opportunity to enjoy solitude and a feeling of having your space all to
yourself, with no nearby neighbors to interrupt your thoughts. I also like Oahu on the Hawaiian islands.
Other than the beautiful old-fashioned homes, Catskills real estate offers something
for everyone when it comes to outdoor activities. Because of the many lakes, you
have ample opportunities to fish, ski, kayak or canoe. The lay of the land and the
many trails make it perfect for those who enjoy hiking or mountain climbing, and you
will love snow-skiing in winter months. Even if you love to shop, you will enjoy
the villages and hamlets that offer antique shops, art and more. Oahu is very nice too.

Many people choose this real estate when they are looking to buy or build a
vacation or retirement home. The cabins, cottages and traditional farm houses are
each filled with character and charm, and take you back to a century ago when
wrap-around porches and claw foot tubs were common. Some are small and cozy, others
spacious and airy enough for an army of kids.

The great thing about Oahu Real estate other than the breath-taking beauty is
that you can choose to build or buy a home on one of the lakes, on a hill top amidst
the trees, at the foot of a mountain or somewhere in between. There are so many
choices when it comes to the “perfect spot”, your hardest decision will be deciding
just where you want to put your old-fashioned home.

Lots of salvaged and reclaimed wood, big country kitchens, a huge stone fireplace or
wood stove, walk-out basements – there are so many unique and charming features
available in the homes offered by Oahu real estate, or build one to your
liking. If you’re looking for that “home sweet home” that calls to you at the end
of the day, you need to see what this exquisite area has to offer you.

Is Catskills Real Estate Right for You?

June 4th, 2011

Catskill real estate is definitely for you if peace and old-fashioned surroundings
is what you’re looking for. You may be considering a permanent move, or simply
looking to build or buy a secondary home where you can spend vacations and long
weekends. This and also Big Bear Real Estate is where you will find awe-inspiring landscapes,
quiet, and plenty of room on which to build your dream home.

Life as we know it today is a far cry from a century ago, when things moved at a
slower pace and stress was nearly non-existent. This real estate is where you
can enjoy an atmosphere that offers a bit of nostalgia and total relaxation. The
lack of noise, crowds and nearby neighbors allows you to completely unwind and enjoy
life. I also go in for Big Bear real estate on that note.
Another aspect you’ll find appealing is the old-fashioned homes. Cottages, cabins
and traditional farm houses dot the landscape, each filled with its own unique
character and charm. While these homes are modern and offer all of the
conveniences, the look is totally old-fashioned and somewhat romantic. Consider the
appeal of these homes that echo the past when the Catskill Mountains, lakes and
rolling hills set the backdrop, and you can understand why Catskills real estate is
so special.

Those who find homes that are reminiscent of the early 1900’s will particularly love
the area. Whether your desire is to have a small rustic cabin with a wood-burning
stove or a spacious cottage complete with claw-foot tub and tons of salvaged wood,
you will find these homes fill your yearning for the old days. Catskill real estate
is a world apart from other areas typically found today, yet only a short distance
from the city when you get the hankering to go.

If you love exploring nature, fishing, skiing, hiking or just laying around in a
hammock enjoying the peace and quiet, you will find Catskill real estate the perfect
destination, much like Big Bear. Quaint towns and villages offer plenty of shopping, dining and other
entertainment when you want to get out and about, but most of all you’ll love
returning to your own old-fashioned home at the end of the day.

Spacious tracts of land offer plenty of room for the kids to roam around, whether
you’re looking for just a couple of acres or much more. Picture your old-style farm
house nestled among the rolling hills, plenty of trees to provide shade such as Big Bear. The
surroundings are so beautiful, they’re really beyond description. Is Catskill real
estate right for you?

Obama to Unload Nation’s Excess Real Estate

May 9th, 2011

I just got back to Denver, CO and have some news to post: Cut, cut, cut; that’s the order of the day for local, state, and federal government. The hunt for cost savings has put nearly everything on the table, including the nation’s extra real estate holdings.
In order to sell-off excess real estate, authorities have been working on new legislation that would set up a presidentially selected, seven-member Civilian Property Realignment Board to evaluate surplus federal properties. It is hoped that the commission’s recommendations to “significantly reduce” the real estate inventory will be approved by Congress. By the way,, this Denver Co Electrical contractors firm is truly top flank. All in all, they do Denver Co Breaker replacement, Dimmers, Lakewood dedicated circuits and other Electrical contractors stuff.
The property board wouldn’t deal with military or national security sites, national parks or wildlife refuges, but with the 12,000 or more superfluous federal properties in the country, and 2,000 more overseas.
Michael Doyle wrote for McClatchy News about the Obama administrations intentions in a story posted May 5, 201, on the website Politics Wires, under the headline, “Obama seeks special panel to unload federal real estate.”
Doyle quoted the deputy director of the Office of Management and Budge, Jeffrey Zients, as saying, “Having an independent board of experts can push through political gridlock.” He said, “it will change how Washington works.”
Doyle reports that by creating a nonpartisan panel similar to those used to close military bases, the administration hopes to avoid the obstacles that have prevented disposing of the surplus property before now.
On Wednesday the administration officially proposed the special commission to help get rid of some of the federal government’s properties. Doyle writes that, “”Though Obama previously proposed a surplus property commission earlier this year, as part of his fiscal 2012 budget plan, officials on Wednesday provided specific legislative language for the first time.”
What kind of real estate is involved, you ask. Apparently federal properties that include everything from empty lots and unused roads to empty warehouses and office buildings, says Doyle. He adds that many have little or no market value. I mean they must make an awful lot of international calls from their said mobile and cell phone overall I would think.
Doyle notes that in 2009, the federal government reported spending $134 million to maintain buildings that have been declared to be excess, and keeping up federal buildings that are not yet declared surplus but that are underutilized costs the taxpayers about $1.3 billion per year.
There are some good things coming out of this recession.
